What to Expect

YOUR FIRST VISIT

If you are a first-time visitor at Spinal Structural Rehabilitation Center, you will be asked for information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that Dr. Botz can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific circumstances.

A bit of paperwork
Forms that provide general information about you and your condition will need to be completed.  Our staff is happy to assist you with the paperwork.  If you prefer to fill it out prior to your first visit, please click below to download the forms and bring them with you.

History and Examination
In order to pinpoint the problem,  Dr. Botz will ask you a number of questions related to your condition.  A variety of targeted tests will be performed to determine which areas are affected and to what extent.  You will be pleased with the sincere level of interest you will receive, beginning  with your history.

X-rays
Your specific condition may require Dr. Botz to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist him in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Same-day treatment
Since many patients first present with a good deal of discomfort, we allow time to treat after the history and examination.  Dr. Botz finds that most of his patients experience significant improvement with the initial treatment.

Home care
Before leaving, you will be given instructions on activities or procedures to be conducted at home.  This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises.

Scheduling the next appointment
Regular treatment is essential to your progress.  We work our appointments around your schedule.
